Capodieci.
Blockchain architect, technology entrepreneur, author, and host of onlinedata.tv.
Roberto Capodieci is an Italian technology entrepreneur and blockchain architect whose career spans software development, document management, data analysis, and decentralized systems. Working internationally, he brings decades of practical technical experience to conversations about how digital infrastructure is built and who controls it.
His interest in computing began in childhood. He learned BASIC on a pocket computer, sold his first video game at ten, and started a software business at fourteen. By 1988, he was developing an Apple-based system for digitally archiving and sharing paper correspondence, an early connection to the storage and information-management questions he explores today.
His later work included document-management software, digital forensics, and intelligence-analysis tools. His professional background includes designing hardware and software for law-enforcement data analysis and training personnel in their use. That experience sits alongside hands-on work with peer-to-peer networks, applied cryptography, and custom blockchain architecture.
In 2014, Roberto began work on the Decentralized Business Network, or DeBuNe, followed by blockchain-based trade-document systems. He co-founded Blockchain Zoo in 2017, helping organizations turn business requirements into decentralized applications. Work with clients across different use cases subsequently led Roberto and his team to develop ZooBC, a blockchain platform intended to support applications beyond cryptocurrency.
Roberto's technical interests include digital identity, document workflows, data storage, and connecting decentralized protocols with existing systems. He has also written about blockchain, including co-authoring ZooBC: New Strategies in Blockchain, and shares his ideas through talks, writing, and podcast conversations.
On onlinedata.tv, he brings that background to interviews with people building and using online storage on the blockchain. The focus is on the technology, the decisions behind it, and what those decisions mean for ownership, access, and control of data.
